Canadian Commnader of US Forces in A Sordid Love Affair

http://www.theguardian.pe.ca/documents/TheGuardian/menard-cp-7684509.jpg

Does that sound like a luridly conceived tabloid headline to you?

This is pretty hot. If this were America, CNN would be all over it. The reason why it would get some traction main stream over there is because for starters , our Canadian home boy was in charge of American lives and in the cauldron of controversy over the loss of them, but even after that, theres just something more to be said beyond goadedness, and a high moral ground, something instead which represents that slender portion of the American conscience we rarely see,..that helps define who they are both at home and overseas. And comes closer to the heart of what it truly means to be a real soldier.

But it is funny that the media wont touch it. Its all over the Internet.

So it's news, that much is true.  News that is that's about as cheap as it gets: free.

Thanks to a few emails...

General toppled by a corporal’s revelation

What it  says those about our people at the top are playing a very dangerous game of self censorship.

They can say anything under the blanket of a national security interest, even if its to save themselves from embarassment .

If it were not for war time reporters like Micheal Yon

half of this story would be a pure ancedotal story with details about a gun misfiring nearly killing someone, a presumed responsibility for the death of a US soldier, and fraternizing with staff....all one in all, buried beneath headlines of government denying knowing anything about handing over soldiers for torture to Afghan authorities.
