Fictional Archaeologists

In regards to the last installation of the Indiana Jones trilogy

it has been my estimate that there was some definite sketched story backgrounds of the real life story of Hiram Bingham

and his search for Vilcabamba

which he (re)discovered in 1911, believing though that he had found Machu Picchu.

(note: like the Indy character in Crystal Skull Bingham also turned to military and politics as a way of life)

Guy named Roy Chapman Andrews though is also speculated as the person Indy Jones is based.

Douglas Eugene "Gene" Savoy is also supposed to be "the real Indiana Jones".

Good little on-line imbroglio here after this article page highlights some of the films inaccuracies.

So I guess if you ever wanted to learn and know the lines of Nazca, the main thing is, dont go searching to Cuzco.

 -  -

Cuzco , Peru was an aresenal quilted cotton armour, sharp edged swords, star shaped battle axes, slings and javelins.

  --

Francisco Pizarro refounded Cuzco for the Spanish King on March 23rd 1534

He was a Spanish explorer and conqueror who defeated the Inca Empire and claimed most of South America for Spain.

Francisco Pizarro is depicted as a villain in the 1980s animated series The Mysterious Cities of Gold.

Cusco or Qosqo (meaning navel or bellybutton in Quechua) is considered the oldest living city on the American continent with a continuous habitation extending for over 3000 years.

"The citizens of pre-Columbian Peru had a substantially higher quality-of-life than their counterparts in Medieval and Renaissance Europe."

 Very fascinating stuff.

Thats it. My mind is made up. This is irrevocable and non-negotiable.

Im going to where the sun really shines and people really know how to live. Not in the sense of letting it all hang out but the idea of freedom as not something you talk about.

This country is far too rude and prude for me to tolerate. Making my life a miserable hell for ten years, ruining my dating and social life and then "apologizing".

Can you just imagine? Think if you were a woman and a guy did this to you on your first date! Shows up late, spills drink on your dress, makes you pay and then aplogizes for leaving early?

Mind me, I need to think twice , posting this at the speed of now which as fast as the Net will allow, about missing out on all those glorious fashions.

Maybe this is what a guy needs to take his mind off all that 'business' covered up and concealed anyway.

Bikinis are such a wonderful distraction from life. Real titties and real V's  might be the thing and in 100 years Canada will have the same.

As I understand it,  Europeans are far from being distracted from simple nudity at beaches and picnics.

Cool
I have the perfect book to read under the summer sun. Can barely imagine walking up to a lady and saying "How are you enjoying that Harry Potter book?". I think I can manage to hook someones attention.

TGIF - Stress Relief
Mood:  mischievious

Face it your life is a mess, everythings gone wrong and youre under constant stress

If this is your world, do your self a big favor and take 5-6 minutes out of life and just watch the news video provided in the link below

thank the stars theres still enough down to earth zaniness in the world that you dont have to deal with...can you really do anything about the price of oil?

For instance if you cant get a laugh out of this frank discussion of the politics of wearing thongs and suing Victorias Secret...tie that tourquinet around your head a little tighter...Video

Story in press

..well, nevermind I think you get the picture. Enjoy your stress then..!

--

Also slightly more seriously....have you ever received email at work from an old friend from high school or college of your friend in a bikini?

If you did and were you were married, would you punish your old friend by making it a national story and tarnish her reputation?

Would you approve of your boss accessing your friends email to look at the photos? And approve of him sending the photos/story to the media?

Its CBS again ! This time they tried to change the venue to Philedelphia when the clause in the contract for the woman stated it had to be handled and heard in nowhere else but NYC.

Get your double dose of lucrid-dic-ulous-ness...

Philly TV station denies fired newscaster's claims

Kiss/ InnocentUndecided.........................................................have a nice weekend and remember, it's not just the Internet anymore. It's your life for people to speculate on, cause damage to and then recoil back into their personally private worlds .......and lets all look..if life were really like that...no one would be talking. Period.

Now Playing: Iran has withdrawn around $75 billion from Europe
Topic: News on News

Why Afghanistan is a continuing waste of money...no cohesiveness in efforts to help a country with too much glue but nothing to hold it together.

Its worse than too many Indians and not enough chiefs and too many cooks spoil the broth.

"a melting pot of failure of developmental policies."

Getting a lot of press time these days is Ahmed Rashid (interviewed on Charlie Rose recently) author of

Descent into Chaos. (Viking Press).

Multimedia on Ahmeds sweeping wide ranging estimations and piercing observations that call for

a stark reassesment of approaches to the solutions for this problematic country.

can be found here.

More support for the main thesis of 'the failed state were in' ("We would like to tell you the story of $150m going up in smoke,") comes from Clare Lockhart - Co-Founder and Director at the Institute for State Effectiveness

and also Overseas Development Institute

Hat tip to Daniel Finkelstein who does a full circle dance around the press gallery story gaining steam on the 'American who would be Afghanistans next President'.  Is that (really!) James Woods?

And finally, if we ever do see oil hit 200 dollars a barrel and gas prices rise with blood pressures and high tempertures and taxing of our collective patience for politicians to "do something" as costs rise for everything from food to...well, food,...why it's so important.

(edit: oh yeah I almost forgot: Iran pulls $75b from EU banks.)

As you can see, Americans must have been pretty bored

Hiram Bingham, the Yale archaeology professor who uncovered Machu Picchu, is widely believed to be the model for Indiana Jones.

- -

Attention, archaeology department!

Rocketman!....first in the world to use metal cylinders...throw into the dustbin of history!

Well, sometimes one mans junk is not always another mans treasure. Sometimes its just junk.

- -

  1. Yes but there really was an archeologist named Jones.
  2. Muslims are in China thanks to Kublai Khan.
  3. And there are more Jews in Iran than lots of other places in the Middle east.
  4. the sky is green

.... China is drilling for oil in places America wont or cant how come we are told they are driving up our costs at the pump thanks to their economic juggernaut....? I think we are really paying for all those cheap t-shirts about now.
