Fleming was no master writer. His stupid super hero punk ass bitch appealed to the macho instinct in all men of that era who wanted more hair on their chest. No one doubts his is the most successful franchise but for pure genre its also pure pulp. For some reason, it climbed the unassailable peaks of leftover bottom basement dime store novels and tickled a previously un-feverish imagination of readers hungry for a replacement for the lacklustre in their lives.
By luck it was a hit.
That he had a muse of some sort should be held with the same type of laughable contempt for posters like RYP who think such an acclamation has worthy of merit for discussion. Or so your readers seem to have judged so for themselves with this one whungy comment
