I think my creative talents may have made me the chosen winner in the Translinks name the fare card contest.
The reason I beleive this is, I believe I have supplied them with all 3 of the winning entries that are presently being mulled over for e-fare card which will come into use over the next few years.
This would be the second time I have played a small role in naming things, having had one-half of my entry used in the name the BC Ferry contest. The prize for which was a free sailing from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert (with vehicle) or any other BC ferry sailing vessel route.
But I would like to use the prize to embark my self on a creative consulting career as I am sure many business are looking for ways to adapt to the ever and always changing technologies and popualr applications on the market.
Especially seasoned business owners, who may be so consumed with day to day operations, may not have that extra spoke in the wheel to deal with Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Or even the 'scan this' applications we see popping up everywhere (Even on headstones in Japan where through a scan you can learn about the departed one with your phone).
Although this is not a confirmed thing, I would love to win the IPad to serve as the eventaul tool to help me launch my business.
This is a great application for the skills I learned while recently taking a course at UBC, which also included entertainment technology management.
