Topic: From Facebook Friends

Our esteemed Prime Minister was a tour of the Arctic recently, announcing new agreements and developments and even heralding the opening of a new National Park (which the Liberals had the ball rolling on from over ten years ago-,..)

.....but one thing I wish for all my new found friends who come to Canada

even if you think and dreamed you have seen a lot via postcard and Apple iPhone, I hope you one day get to experience first hand the breathtaking beauty of Canadas North

My dreams are with you and for you to see and feel the land that beckons and beckons those who have been there that swear one day they will return. And will.

Blogging as art
Topic: From Facebook Friends

aRT IS actually a string of 3 letters put together to form a word in the English language.

Google word search : "Art Without ‘Art’" and you get practically nothing.

Google image surf : "Art Without ‘Art’" and the bevy of similar and differential results are self-evident in this experiment.

As a child during World War II, Moravcsik remembered buying groceries with food coupons and carrying them home himself – he was the only family member old enough for the task, but not old enough to be conscripted on the spot. He remembered a grenade exploding next to him, seeing two soldiers killed for no reason and finding 30 dead soldiers in the garden. The family's home was destroyed.

Recalling German writer Georg Büchner's phrase "Man is an abyss," he asked in his autobiographical essay: "If we try to peer into it, we recoil. I always thought that trust had to be the main element that brings us all together, but after what we had seen and heard, how can one hope for the unity of all mankind?"

And finally to round out this days entry

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Carrera_Panamericana

Carrera Panamericana was a border-to-border sports car racing event on open roads in Mexico. Running 5 consecutive years from 1950 to 1954, it was widely held by contemporaries to be the most dangerous race of any type in the world.

"Large and luxurious, the Mercedes 300 series was built from 1951 until 1957 in its original form. The company's largest and most-prestigious models, the Mercedes-Benz Type 300 is considered a trademark of the era throughout the 1950s. With a 3 liter engine capacity, the name 300 said it all. Exclusive, expensive, elegant and full of power, the Type 300 vehicles were in an elite status all of its own. In a tribute to the Chancellor of Germany at the time, this series was often referred to as the Adenauer, after Konrad Adenauer. During his time as Chancellor, Adenauer used a total of six of these vehicles. "

In the year 1959 only 200 were produced. Subsequently, must be the reason for the nice price for the one found  here.

Introduced originally for the Mille Miglia , in 1955, an open-road endurance race which took place in Italy twenty-four times from 1927 to 1957 (thirteen before the war, eleven from 1947).

More than just a very pretty face
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: From Facebook Friends

Excuse me hello there can I have your attention, please?

 http://thegallant.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/james-bond-skyfall-trailer.jpg

It's the only way I know how -,..other than shouting from a rooftop or posting wonderful luxurious scintillating shots of well dressed women.

But this is not a usual blog entry for me. I was just wondering if you wouldnt mind taking a quck look at this photo and especially the words and story to go with it.

It reminds me so much of someone I used to know (*not* to be confused with that song which is getting so-o-o-o-o much airplay right now!)

But what is funny is that before Facebook , I remember seeing a photo of her court appearances and the best I can recall is being unconcerned with the media coverage and more with what a beautiful person she honestly is and moreover: who am I to judge from what I can see is at best just media speculation?

But now from what I can see from her self what a potent and powerful force she is to proterct her own mental well being and I hope that with her speaking out this way, other women-,..and even some men-,..can learn from her and applaud her for her choice words.

Its funny that way, having two cards to play, when the media blends itself with the 'entertainment world'  ; which in the end,  literally props them all up to keep working, one can have a personal opinion about the truth of all our affairs that the media cannot savvy because there is no one sole person in charge or authority to ascertain the real value of the truth. Its louder than what can be broadcast or tuned into.

Usually they are just too far removed from it to think about giving their souls the vacation time they crave when it gets to heavy a burden.

But its really great to see someone so in charge of themselves that way. Men are just not the only ones built to have swagger but women can do it with a composure and stability that should make normal men very appreciative of how they become that way.

As instructors. The smart ones really do listen to what is being said.

Thanks. Outspoken and beautiful; and yet Billy Joel always had it right: always a woman.

This came up in my Facebook RSS feeder

Just think: how clever is that>?

corset sxc

.Caption read:"As the economy is being squeezed, sales of corsets are soaring and unlikely as it may seem the two facts could be related."

Uh-huuuh!

“We have seen an increase in the popularity of corsets,” says Nicky Clayton of Rigby & Peller, the Queen’s brassiere-maker.

“This is due to fashion trends such as underwear as outwear and celebrities such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Jessie J making them popular again.”

Times are tight, corsets are back

And of course I have found at least one person online who swears she used one to help her lose post-partum baby weight.

So hmmh on that , too.

Another Facebook friend of mine posted this one on her feed and it was very sad.

http://www.vevo.com/watch/whitney-houston/run-to-you/USAV70000024

But I imagine the cops are going to take a pretty good long look at that one. This guy has absolutely no idea of what he s in for.

Thats called a contrivance.  Court will prove this man conspired to make the love of his life fall for him in the most unsuspecting way thereby depriving her of the truth that he was too afraid just to ring the doorbell and announce him self as a gentleman caller.

The Court of True Love is now in session. What kind of word is fritz anyway? Please ban it from the english language.

Dragons Den (when I have to time to even watch TV) is one of my favorite shows.

It's really not what you think at all, but something else.

It's educational; inspiring and fun.

I have to say that the man in the photo above is one my favorite guys *he dont have to know it or like it anyway*

Very sharp guy, incisive; he can be uncompromising for sure.

Know thy self.

Anyway this entry is all about the women. Last time I saw this group in the news last week all over Vancouver

it reminded me of my love for Dragons Den (just a note: DD passed on the whole idea/plan and passed on it, leaving the girls without a $check$ to walk away with...)

http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/pitches/panty-by-post.html

..although I think I noticed the idea piqued and tantalized  Kevin O'Learys business imagination (lets face it, just ask General Electric where they would today without imagination)

Get a good bookkeeper: http://youtu.be/RySvMBauPIM

I was inspired to make this blog entry by one of my Facebook friends who posted a link to this article which asks:

Where Are the Women Entrepreneurs?

The idea is spreading..
http://www.startupsmart.com.au/planning/2011-01-21/brief-start-up-idea-in-the-mail.html
And of course they are marketing to men.

if we want more venture-backed women led businesses, we can start by inspiring women to first become entrepreneurs. We can do this by touting all women entrepreneurs, regardless of their type of business or financing.
