"Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive," - Sir Walter Scott

probably the quote most often erroneously attributed to Shakespeare

This is interesting..:)

..

researchers from Villanova and Brandeis Universities recently discovered a new species of jumping spider...

but the captivating aspect of the story that propels the reader to learn more  about...

..the fascinating little creatures can leap up to 50 times their own body lengths , hydraulically with a rapid increase in the blood pressure in their legs..

is the name chosen for the arachnid

Bagheera kiplingi (after the friendly panther in Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book)

...turns out, unlike all the other 8 legged creatues of its ilk, the anamlous thing about this one is its vegetarian lifestlye..

Iconic legend passes on

"His films helped establish an international notion of ordinary American teenagers, and he was as popular abroad as at home.

Once when I was visiting the largest movie theater in Calcutta, I asked if Star Wars had been their most successful American film.

No, I was told, it was Baby's Day Out, a [...] comedy about a baby wandering through a big city, which played for more than a year."– critic ROGER EBERT

Who was it?

...I call Obamas little three ring poker table circus beer summit another effective coup on reforming dated American domestic policies ...for the uninitiated it might do you well to remember the words "emergent strategy".

Obama is not challenging the status quo at all but I believe he's gently re-inventing it. So called "conventional thinking" can only take so many knocks on the head till we are all called 'collectively stupid' in all that we do. So perhaps its better to gently tap.

It might be hard for some to follow, mixing in the golden apples of health care reform with the silver tassles around a simple tablecloth outdoor informal beer garden, but at the top of the head of the country in the highest office in the land, he's continuing headstrong on the same election platform that saw him elected in the first place: accountablity and commitment!

His arguments for collective intelligence are also arguments against  expensive studies and ivory like towers of specialized expertise about "what to do" about racism in America, one that only trusts patriarchy and cosmetic empowerment.

This is part of a generalized philosophy in the business marketplace that is is going to be in 10 places at once in the future. In fact: right now already.

Things that make you go : hmmmmmh.

Robert Redford married his German artist girlfriend over the weekend.

The Hollywood actor and director, 71, and artist Szaggars, 51, said ‘I do’ at the posh Louis C. Jacob Hotel on the bank of the Elbe river before some 30 guests on Saturday afternoon.

"The ceremony was very important to them," protestant pastor Frank Engelbrecht, who officiated the marriage, told news agency AFP.

Redford speaks German, so the ceremony was conducted in the local language, Engelbrecht said.

His second wife comes from Hamburg where family members also still live. He has been known to secretly visit the city in the past to see Szaggar's family.

And what a place to be betrothed. The hotel in Hamburg has a somewhat storied history dating back to the year 1791

..and you can just imagine the view of the Elbe below..
