Hello. Do you like the way that sounds, the way that reads? Does it sound like a robotic automon or Clint Eastwood walking into a room of Nazis (while dressed like one him self) in Where Eagles Dare?

Whats the difference, you ask? Friendliness. Pure friendliness.

So yes I thought I would give a status up date  , a update to this blog endeavor. Sometimes as I scroll through it, particularly past and dated entries, I wonder to my self if my blogging style might one day be seen as a precuror to Tumblr, which by now is more of a big deal in its own right than Instagram.

Or if in fact I have more of a blogging heavyweight than I have previously thought, should I tout my self even further by saying I may have inadvertently influenced the news paper reporting styles of such giants as National Post newspapers. Tactically writing erudite sounding letters, knowing that by doing so my name might be 'Googled', back in the day when Googling every person was a natural as a reflex action as picking up the dictionary for a word encountered yet not understood.

(But youre talking about a guy here who once wanted the word ALAS banned from use on the Internet.)

So, not too sure how the blog-o-sphere is faring these days seems like the word BLOG or BLOGGED about  has been displaced with more savoire faire terms like Has His Own YouTube channel and Tweeted this or that.

So I just wanted to blog that I look back at those days of the Black Flag Cafe at the time I was allowed to remain anonymous (as a prefered rioght tpo privacy selcted) with some reserve of fondness and yet with the times torwards the actual battles over rights to privacy with some chagrin and not so much fondness.

In a way, even as times change, things will never be over i.e. ended , there and the reason how and why I know my feelings towards earlier days were fonder when I was an unknown as an unknown (the unknown I wanted to be!)...is because everytime I think about re-loading my registration there I could almost lose my cookies; it is mild revulsion. Not revolt.

I am not trying to engage you with mirrored lenses of self-delusion in writing about the impression I have had on the Internet itself.

One of the things I have learned through the process of this online journeying  is : never believe too much in your own myth.

Of course I remain concerned for the hijacking of my handle and name at the Black Flag Cafe. Any person involved in serious activity of due dilligence or even acting out of simple curiousity whether its to vet a job application or scope my personality for a relationship will encounter spuriously fed editing of my comments, disgusting connotative associations with my true character, blurring of comments , depersonalization and in addition to other forms or racism and racial commentary. In an age of Amanda Todd, intolerance of racism in any form online, and iCloud hacking, I will one day receive an official apology. The board and its moderators have no defense against their innate capability to edit any one users account. As such their capability makes them culpable. Although a judge and magistrate and legal authority would ultimately have to decide, I hold the opinion that based upon their personal policies, it cannot be presumed they et al are absent of malice. To claim innocence and all in a spirit of good fun is just a typical defensive excuse of a tormentor, harrasser and demeaning person. Clearly consequences of action and non-action have consistently been ignored as if they were non-existent and the climate of such a place is that they exist outside the law, above the law, and a place where the law can be subjugated to serve a perverse function.

One more comment about the Black Flag Cafe. A cursory search engine check reveals a few scant hit returns for mention in published materials and essays. One person has even received backlash for its members for covertly using membership to write a doctoral thesis.

I wonder why Amanda Todd would not warrant the type of commentary that such usual spoil sports for discussing true live vermin could focus their entertainment value type derision on.

 Of course I know the true answer and that is the Black Flag Cafe knows no shame, just as nothing is sacred.

By this stretch, no persons idenity is safe. I leave them with one final thought beyond character assasination , is this type of ruling made in courts, that; heretofro, it has been deemed NOT:

 

acceptable to “… lower the bar for intrusion into the personal life of inviduals in proportion to the hype around the facts”, otherwise the essentiality and relevance of the information disclosed would be disconnected from the objective public relevance of the story, and instead “… linked to the volatile curiosity of readers and, more importantly, bent to economic interests, or interests of another nature, pursued by the media…”. This would raise the danger of “triggering a self-referential (and self-absolutory) media circuit” in particular the risk of “legitimising tabloid press campaigns merely aimed at cashing out …. thus allowing the processing of sensitive or even super-sensitive data of having the sole purpose of feeding and keeping alive the public interest, not in proportion to the objective social significance of the facts and the corresponding right to their knowledge, but in light of unworthy interests…”.

The judge remarked that nothing in the Italian legal system allowed for linking the right to the protection of personal data to such a variable factor as media attention, potentially independent of the values protected.

She finally commented that the publicity of court documents does not allow per se the indiscriminate publication of the information they contain; journalists are still required at all times to filter those contents in compliance with the standards for the protection of fundamental rights set in the Privacy Code and their own code of ethics.

How we arrived
"there", or how we happened upon the
map is to be looking at the brochure
of the journey, and not the journey itself.
They always show the most beautiful photos in the travel
brochures. But lifes not like that. People know better.
And yet we journey to prove or disprove, always with
a sense of discovery at that which is constantly unfolding.
Before us. In this sense, neither birth nor death are beginnings
or endings but merely gasps of breath through a never ending
cosmos. As far as know and wonder and ponder, life has preceded
our arrival and life continues without us afterwards.
Everything is etched into valley walls and floors and riverbeds
and mountaintops and man made historical monuments to his
achievements. What we need are documents to cover the testament
of man and drape him with dressings of words and descriptive
passages. Words illimunitate pictures no matter how already bright,
words shine the light of truth, words dont fail in a power outage.
Words tell a story that riverbeds cant, that photographs fail
that statues dont. A word is a thing of beauty. And even the beautiful word
'beauty' it self beauty cannot sashay along side itself to render its
own existence muted by its own sight in a mirror. Its only multiplied.
How much is life reduced when beauty is limited to what one can see?
When there are beautiful tastes, beautiful aromas and smells, beautiful
feelings and sensations and sounds to throw into the mix? But when
minds meet, to further meld and multiply their sensations into
quadrants and divisions a symphonic fireworks display becomes a natural wonder
and words ultimately fail badly, amidst the echoes of roaring cannons
and dazzling pops of light and trumpets hailing spectacular vision. Words
are stumbling points instead, things to trip over, words coming to mind that induce
stuttering and temporary stupor. If this is what a thing of beauty can accomplish,
why dont we stop to ponder its usefulness to our survival more often?

Perhaps its a joy and celebration that man cant fathom.

So......

 I have not had a lot of time to pay attention to this on-line endeavor ..

which is coming up to an anniversary 7 years since it's inception.

(It's a bit of a small wonder I have not migrated over to Tumblr already and well although fairly nifty, it does not allow for links in the tab.

But inbetween other various s o c i a l  s t r a t a , this blog has definitely suffered the brunt of the division of my online time.

And with that pre-able aisde, I have found a couple of new developments worth at least a blurb of sorts.

When people start to begin to talk seriously of Vancouver being a launch pad for rocket shuttles, we certainly will be solidified as a world class city, Expo 86 and Olympics notwithstanding.

Not to belittle the Mayors efforts to form his city into one of the worlds greenest and a paragon for all (it's really working by the way) in making Vancouver even more of a Pacific jewel of the west coast, for now we will simply have to be satisfied with hosting a company that will provide the world's first HD video feed of Earth streamed from space.

For espionage news followers, this is a lighting bolt to the stiff historical Cold War timeline of events.

 I am wondering out loud (WOL?) if Snowdens defection it self a counter move as part of a larger than life jigsaw puzzle plot to disinform intel contained in Assanges Wikileaks as well as an actual counterspin move against Chinas thirst for energy and desire to achieve total economic hegenomy but with Russias interest in supplying Eastern outposts in Europe with LNG via pipeline balanced in between.

But what else can I say. I am totally just a lonely isolated blogger with time on my hands in this makeshift hobby.
